Export posts from an Instagram profile

Export fields

media_id

The stable Instagram identifier for the media item.

shortcode

The shortcode used in the Instagram media URL.

permalink

The Instagram permalink derived from the media shortcode.

profile_id

The Instagram profile identifier of the media owner.

username

The username of the media owner, when available.

caption

The media caption text, when available.

taken_at

The media publication time as a Unix timestamp, when available.

media_type

The numeric media type returned by Instagram.

product_type

The Instagram product type, such as a feed item or clip, when available.

like_count

The like count returned for the media item.

comment_count

The comment count returned for the media item.

view_count

The view count returned for the media item, when available.

Common workflows

1. Enter the profile target

   Use a username, @username, or Instagram profile URL rather than a media, hashtag, or location URL.

2. Use the Profile Posts page

   This page fixes the export to Profile Posts and rejects targets for other Instagram resource types.

3. Collect the profile feed

   Media pages are processed in returned order and duplicate media IDs are removed before rows are written.

4. Download the media dataset

   Download CSV or XLSX with captions, timestamps, counts, media resources, dimensions, and location fields when returned.
