Export Facebook Share post comments to CSV or XLSX

Export fields

comment_id

The unique Facebook identifier for the comment or direct reply.

parent_comment_id

The parent comment identifier for a direct reply; blank for a top-level comment.

thread_root_comment_id

The top-level comment identifier that anchors the exported thread.

depth

The thread level: 0 for a top-level comment and 1 for a direct reply.

author_id

The Facebook identifier of the comment author.

author_name

The display name shown for the comment author.

author_url

The Facebook profile URL constructed from the author identifier.

text

The text of the comment or direct reply.

created_time

The comment creation time formatted in the export job timezone.

comment_url

A URL that points to the specific comment or reply on the source post.

reaction_count

The reaction count returned for the comment or reply.

Common workflows

1. Keep the Share URL intact

   Paste the supported facebook.com/share/p/... URL so the job targets the comments associated with that shared post.

2. Decide whether to include replies

   Export top-level comments alone or add available direct replies while preserving parent and root comment identifiers.

3. Trace rows back to Facebook

   Download CSV or XLSX and use comment_url, author_url, and thread fields to revisit the exported discussion.
